Legendary hospitality, rustic big flavours and the rough edges of Paul Clerehugh's cooking, have earnt him an enviable reputation.  He deserves his success, gaining it the hard way, not through Ready Steady Cook or publishing, but through great food.

The Crooked Billet is a finalist on Local Food Hero, the TV series championing British Food.  Paul is a presenter on Mind Your Own Business (BBC1), a series helping ailing businesses.  Paul occasionally cooks on Great Food Live (UKTV Food).

Paul only uses local free-range butchery goods, and local suppliers where ever possible. This year's Henley Boat Races Menu will include:-

Old spot hot dogs

Hot salt beef sandwiches on rye.

Char grilled Copas Turkey 'club baps'

1/4 lb. homemade beef burgers, with all the trimmings.

Baba ganouj aubergine fritters.

Fennel & pomegranate salad.

Tzatziki

Lentil soup

Hot sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce, clotted cream

 

 

Flapjack slice

Coffee & Walnut cake

Chocolate brownie slice

 

Snacks and fresh fruit

 

The Crooked Billet bar will be serving traditional Brakspears, courtesy of Brakspears Brewery (supporters of the Henley Boat Races); Magners and a selection of wines and soft drinks and well as freshly filtered coffees and tea.
